The SFB 1552, together with the GRK 2516, SFB 1551, SFB 1361, 4R-RTG and GenEvo, organize a one day symposium, where the role of sustainability in everyday research will be examined and discussed from many perspectives. Speakers from a wide variety of fields are invited, including a lab manager of a certified lab, a coordinator of sustainability certificates, who will also shed light on the scientist and student perspective, as well as representatives of the University, the JCF and the German Research Foundation (DFG), who will give an overview of external framework conditions and sustainability in funding programs. With the symposium, the aim is to raise awareness of sustainability in everyday laboratory life, but also in funding programs, and show ways in which everyone can contribute to a more sustainable future.
